Online Reputation Management London

  • Your reputation directly affects your income.
  • Anyone can anonymously post negative items about you which may show up in a search on your name in Google
  • We can bury negative sites onto page 2, where they will hardly ever be seen, and monitor Google for you
  • “It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it” Benjamin Franklin.

In other words reputation management is fast becoming MUCH more important than spending money on advertising, and the sooner you realise that, the less risk you face.

Who needs Online Reputation Management?

Every business, and every professional. We all rely on the trust in our brand. Once there is a question mark about that, our customers and clients can disappear overnight.

When should we start with an ORM campaign?

Right from the very start. You should make sure you acquire all the main top level domain versions of your domain name if possible eg .co.uk .org.uk .com .org .net . You should also build up a blog and social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked in, and Youtube, to help fill the front page of Google with sites that you control. The sooner you do this, the longer they will be established and the more backlinks they will build up, thus making it harder for a negative site to penetrate.

What are the risks of not having an ORM campaign?

These are very high. It is possible you may be lucky and not have any problem, but the more customers and employees you have, the more likely that eventually one of them will become disgruntled. If they are a blogger, or internet savvy, it is easy for them to make anonymous negative and even abusive comments on different sites which can fill the first page.

Reputations can be destroyed overnight. Sometimes the comments can be completely false. The number one listing for one of my clients said he was a racist, and that was completely untrue. But mud sticks. People prefer to believe negative statements rather than to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Is ORM becoming more important all the time?

Yes. Today, companies are losing control of their brand, and individuals right to anonymity is being shattered. In the past, media sources were relatively few, but recently with the explosion of Twitter, Facebook,  blogging, forums and other social networking and review sites  almost everything we do is on display, and everyone feels they have a right to pass judgement.

What techniques do we use?

We analyse the first page of Google.co.uk for different variants of your name, and identify and negative sites. If there are no negative sites, then we set up a process to automate the discovery of any negative sites entering the top page, and report back to you if that happens.

What if we want to control and monitor other search engines, or more than the first page?

We can put together a package for you to control whatever search engines and pages you want. The first page of google.co.uk has the most exposure, so we normally focus first on that.

What if there is already a negative site on the first page?

We devise a strategy to push that site down to the second page, by either linking to other positive or neutral sites below it, and bringing their position up, or by creating a site from scratch, and using SEO to push that up.

The very best thing you can do is to get us to do a free analysis. We will analyse negative sites, and their source, and advise how they can be removed or buried. We will then replace them with neutral or positive listings, and monitor the situation weekly so problems do not recur.
